A Daughter of Pasco County
Born and raised in New Port Richey, Florida, and a graduate of J.W. Mitchell High School, Samantha Elizabeth June has spent a significant portion of her life residing in Pasco County. Having also lived in both Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties for several years, she has witnessed notable changes over the course of time — some improvements, and many issues that remain. The people are truly ready for change, and Samantha is answering the call to partake in the continuation of positive transformation for District 12.
A Background in Health Sciences
Samantha is an advocate for holistic, naturopathic, and functional medicine. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in biological health sciences. The well-being of others has always been of significant importance to her, and she originally intended to pursue graduate school to become a physician assistant.
As a victim of Big Pharma and the FDA, Samantha has been navigating her own health journey for well over 10 years and became too ill to pursue graduate school. When she began working in the medical field in 2016 while pursuing her bachelor's degree, the corruption found within health insurance companies and the medical field was quickly revealed. In those moments, she knew she wanted the opportunity to revoke unscrupulous policies and procedures and implement new ones.
With the Lord's guidance and direction leading her to facilitate her own research, Samantha discovered the gift of holistic, naturopathic, and functional medicine and the life that it has to offer. Having been misled for decades by Big Pharma and the FDA, she has had to unlearn a significant amount of knowledge acquired during her undergraduate career and her 6 years of experience within the medical field.
“Our medical system has not only robbed me of a great deal, but has destroyed an unprecedented amount of others' lives. I am not negating western medicine altogether as there is still a need in certain areas, but an even greater need for a holistic approach.”
An Advocate Against Human Trafficking
Samantha is an advocate against human trafficking and has partnered with Rescue America through her church for the last two years. The state of Florida is the third largest trafficking spot in the United States. In 2024 alone, 700,000 people residing in Florida fell victim to human trafficking according to studies revealed by the University of South Florida. Such studies revealed that 100,000 children alone were targeted for sex trafficking.
In an interview with Shawn Ryan, Tim Tebow discusses that the number one sex offender for children is biological fathers — a heartbreaking reality that has personally affected close friends in Samantha's life, including one who was trafficked by her own adoptive grandfather.
Environmental Health Champion
Environmental concerns are of significant importance to Samantha, especially having experienced many firsthand. Being exposed to mold repeatedly, along with lead, mercury, thallium, faulty HVAC units leading to other issues, contaminated water, and other chemical and toxin exposures, she understands the detrimental impact these have on one's health.
